Inspiring young minds

Being part of the Abbeyfield community will provide you with opportunities to make a real difference to young people and their aspirations. Transforming their attitudes to the world of work and the vast vast array of options they have available to them. Seeing, speaking and discussing what life is like in various industries can make a huge difference to both a students knowledge but also their motivation and inspiration.

Ways to support

  • Be part of our Mock interviews with Year 10 or 11 students and help them structure their CVs
  • Get involved in extracurricular clubs and activities
  • Give an inspiring talk based on your industry or job role
  • Provide a coaching/mentoring service through a structured programme
  • Run a hands-on workshop with activities relating to your area of expertise
  • Be part of our discussions about pathways after school, eg apprenticeships
  • Help champion specific issues and challenge barriers in the workplace around gender stereotyping, disability etc
  • Help bring a subject lesson to life by linking it to your industry
  • Offer a work experience placement for students at you business premises

What to expect

By agreeing to be part of our community you are supporting the young people of tomorrow. We will of course be keen to maximise this relationship for the benefit of the students so we will ensure you have a main point of contact for your visits, preparations and should you have any questions at any stage,
