Wiltshire Mental Health Support Team – Wiltshire CAMHS

Our Mental Health Support Team is part of the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and consists of an Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP), a Senior Mental Health Practitioner & SPA Clinician and a team of Support Workers who are able to offer a wide range of support and intervention.

The team work with children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties and provide 1:1 and/or group sessions for the following:

EMHPs can work with:
Mild/moderate presentation
Low mood / mild depression / low self-esteem (intervention with young person)
Generalised anxiety/worry, simple phobias, panic, social anxiety, mild OCD (intervention with young person or parent/carer)
Behaviour that challenges (intervention with parent/carer or school staff)
Lifestyle management, for example: sleep hygiene, managing stress, problem solving

Students are referred to this service via HoY and/or Pastoral Leads with the level of intervention determined by the MHST’s.
